Review

I’m not typically one for romances, but as soon as I learned of Fangs, I had to give it a try. I’ve read many of Sarah Andersen’s comics in the past, but these were by far my favorite. There were equal parts heartwarming and comedic moments throughout, and it made for an excellent pick-me-up and quick read during spooky season.

I bought a physical copy as opposed to picking Fangs up at the library, and I’m glad I own it now. It’s nice to have if I’m looking for a quick laugh or want to revisit some of the pages, which I’ve already done since my first read.

Given it’s nature of being a quick webcomic format, Fangs does go by very fast. I ended up splitting my reading into two days so I wouldn’t read all of this all in one sitting. I think this would have gone a little too quickly had I chose to read it in one sitting, since it’s only 100 pages.

Regardless, I really enjoyed this collection overall. Something I didn’t expect from Fangs is that it does follow a sequential format and have story elements, which I think did so much for the collection overall. I originally expected this book to be their meeting followed by their antics and that being it. However, Fangs does add a bit of story in there with the progression of their relationship, which made it all the more complete.

Fangs was a really fun, quick read. While I wish it didn’t go by as fast as it did, I loved the premise and I’m happy to have a copy I can revisit. I’d definitely recommend it to those who are looking for a quick, fun paranormal story.
