Happy almost July, everyone! It’s time for me to share what I did with both my reading and bullet journal spreads for this month. I’m really happy with both of my spreads this month. I suppose I have the best time working with grayscale, but I would like to learn how to work with color more in the future. Anyway, here’s how they turned out!
April Reading Journal Setup
Title Page & TBR
Ireally wanted to do something space-themed once I got to the black paper in my reading journal again, so I took advantage of that for this initial July spread. Unfortunately, the title is a bit off-center, but I’ll live.
I incorporated some washi tape, stickers, and some dotting to represent stars around the spread as well. I also included the phases of the moon since I had some extra space under my TBR. In theory it’s a simple spread, but because it’s on black paper I feel like it really pops.
Books and Pages Read
For these spreads, I continued the stippling over but mainly kept it to the corners. Then with just a little bit of washi and lettering, this spread was done. My TBR is a bit ambitious for July (summer reading, anyone?) so I want plenty of space to record all my read books this month.
April Bullet Journal Setup
Title Page & Calendar
We are doing a total 360 from last month’s plan with me by going from color to black and white. I got some ripped-up pages as filler in a package I received, so I decided to re-re-purpose them here. I only used them on the title page, but I really like how this turned out, along with the black paint markers and floral stickers! I honestly feel like I could do grayscale themes forever, but incorporating some color would be good too!
Weekly Spread
There’s one small change to my weekly spreads and that’s the divider for the weekdays. I have three client projects I’m working on, so I’ll create separate checkboxes for them there for each day I have hours assigned to them. This helps separate my personal and blog tasks from my job, and should help the pages be less cluttered.
Since I have family visiting this month, I have had a full week of neglecting my review spreads. And I know now how much that’s working for me because I definitely fell off the ball for last week! So I’ll continue to use my trackers to make sure I’m hitting my goals.
That’s everything for both my reading and bullet journal this month. If you journal too and share your spreads, whether on your blog or Instagram, or elsewhere, let me know! I’d love to see them! 🖤
