Happy almost February! I hope you had a great start to 2021.
Now that I’m also doing a bullet journal I have the flexibility to do two themes, but to be honest, after doing my bullet journal I didn’t really feel like spending too much time on my reading journal! And in a sense, the supplies I use make it quick and easy to put spreads together, but I wasn’t feeling super inspired this month. So I may have thrown some materials together for this month, but I think it turned out alright in the end!
I wanted to do a black/red/pink theme for this month, so I pooled together some tape, stickers, stamps, markers, and scrap paper to make a quick spread. Here’s how it looks!
Title Page & TBR
I’ve really been liking using stamps lately for titles, so I don’t spend a ton of time worrying about handwriting. I also highlighted it in red marker to give it a pop, especially after realizing it got a bit buried after drawing so many roses!
I also used some scrap paper from an old spread and grabbed a mix of solid and patterned washi tape. I really like using washi tape when I feel like there’s too much blank space in an area, or if I want to add some texture over other materials.
I also wanted to use more of my sticker flakes, and while the ones I used didn’t match 100%, I felt like it worked enough for this one!
Books and Pages Read
I didn’t realize when I was pooling supplies together that this month would end on kraft paper, but I like it regardless! It’s helping me feel a bit more inspired for when I do the March spreads.
I’ve been learning to keep the books read spread as blank as possible since I never know if I’ll read 5 or 13 books in a month. Always better to have more room for books!
That’s everything for my bullet journal this month. If you journal too and share your spreads, whether on your blog or Instagram, or elsewhere, let me know! I’d love to see them! 🖤
