I wanted to do a roundup of some podcasts I’ve been loving lately, and some episodes that I recommend. The great thing about podcasts is that they’re so readily accessible and you can listen while you’re working or in the car. Lately I’ve been mainly focusing on podcasts or episodes about personal development, and if you’re looking for the same, keep reading!
1. Lavendaire
I originally found Lavendaire (Aileen) through her content on YouTube, and eventually found her podcast, too! I love the people she brings on the show, but I also love listening to her solo episodes just as much because of her unique insights on life. I was really intrigued about this episode featuring bestselling author Pia Edberg. They discussed her book on Hygge, which has been dubbed as a “cozy” lifestyle. I’m glad to have come across this episode as I believe Hygge could really be something that I benefit from – and perhaps you could too!
2. Good Life Project
I came across this podcast by Jonathan Fields on Spotify, and although I haven’t tuned into any of the hour-long episodes yet, the twenty-minute ones have been excellent so far and I can see myself binging every episode. There’s such a wide variety of guests that come on the show who give lots of varying insights on different topics. I also love the segments where Fields tunes into studies piecing together how people think and function. Take this episode for example, where he talks about what’s behind out motivation with written to-do lists. In the second half, he brings up a very interesting study about visual focus and hearing … check it out!
3. Smart Twenties Podcast
Smart Twenties is one of the first Personal Development blogs I came across. Sam, the voice behind Smart Twenties, has a podcast too! Listening to Sam’s podcast is a motivator for me and it feels as though she’s there in person giving you valuable life advice. I recently listened to this episode about staying motivated. I earned a lot of insight about what it means to be motivated and why our conventional forms of motivation aren’t always enough. Especially give it a listen if you’re working on achieving your New Year’s Resolutions and new goals!
4. The Lively Show
I’ve been hearing so many great things about this podcast so I had to give it a listen! Jess Lively has podcast episodes on a variety of topics, including wellness, career, motherhood, money, relationships, and many more. One of the episodes that caught my eye was this episode where Jess takes the episode in a different direction; instead of answering questions, she’s asking unanswered questions, primarily to do with our inner selves. As a person who has a tendency to ask many questions and seek answers, this episode really grabbed my attention. Not only that, but I’ve also been introduced to channeling and intuition as topics that I’d like to read further on!
5. Bucci Radio
I found and followed Amanda Bucci originally through her fitness content, but when I found out last year that she started a podcast, I immediately started listening. Her podcast topics range from personal development to entrepreneurship to fitness, and every episode leaves me inspired. I really resonated with her most recent episode, where she talks about how to stop being a people-pleaser and learn to say no. I love helping people out, but I’ve been the type of person who says yes to too many things and gets myself in trouble. This episode is helping me understand why I do this and how to turn that around!
I hope you’re looking forward to listening to some new podcasts with this list! What are your favorite podcasts to listen to? Let me know below.
Sincerely,
Julie Anna
